Are you interested in an educational experience in a state-of-the-art multimedia broadcasting center? College students will gain first-hand experience in broadcasting and programming right in the heart of Music City. Our team at Seacrest Studios at Children's Hospital works to produce entertaining, creative, and enlightening on-air content for patients and their families.
There are many skills you can expect to learn during this experience, including:
- Working the radio board and microphones
- Operating camera equipment
- Developing your on-air skills
- Widening your broadcasting knowledge
- Interaction skill with patients and families
- Interaction skill with celebrity guests
Interns play a crucial role engaging patients in the studio experience for fun, games, music, lip-sync battles, educational series, interviews, celebrity visits, and more.
Criteria for application
In order to apply for this internship, you must be at least 18 years old. There will be an interview with the program manager and, if selected, you must attend an orientation and meet all Children's Hospital requirements.
Hospital prerequisites include:
- Orientation
- Background check
- Health screening and proof of immunizations
