This year's rise to number four reflects our commitment to providing children and their families with world-class care by one of the most experienced urology teams in the country.

Our pediatric urologists have years of additional training to understand the unique needs of children who have problems associated with the urinary tract and/or genitalia. Care ranges from simple procedures to the most complex reconstructive surgery. Whenever possible, we take a minimally invasive approach that is less traumatic than traditional surgery.

The urinary tract includes the kidneys, ureter, and the bladder. The medical and surgical management of children with problems in these areas requires a different approach on the part of the treating doctor. It is necessary to have the technical skills of a micro-surgeon with the reassuring touch of a friend and confidant.

The goal of our pediatric urologists is to provide patients and families with a diagnosis and an understanding of their child's problem. If necessary, we can surgically correct problems with the skill and care necessary to obtain excellent results, while always remembering that the children under our care are not just small adults.

Our pediatric urologists are internationally recognized for their clinical and basic science research. They have published more than 200 articles and book chapters in the field of pediatric urology. The division also offers one of the leading accredited two year research/clinical fellowship training programs in the country.
