In the spirit of this Tennessee tradition, the Pediatrician’s Circle gives you the opportunity to recognize YOUR outstanding Middle Tennessee pediatrician or health care provider while supporting the Children’s Hospital Palliative Care Program.
Pediatrician's Circle Grand Honoree
We are honored that Dr. Scott Brooks is representing the community of Middle Tennessee pediatricians as this year’s Pediatrician’s Circle Grand Honoree.
Dr. Scott Brooks received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in Memphis after completing his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Vanderbilt University. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in 1984 and joined Pediatric Associates of Franklin that same year.
Dr. Brooks is board certified in pediatrics, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is an Associate Clinical Professor at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He has received the Physicians Recognition Award from the American Medical Association and the James C. Overall Award for his contribution to the Children’s Hospital residency program as an outstanding instructor.
He is actively involved with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, serving as a member of the Emergency Department Committee and the Performance, Management and Improvement Council.
Dr. Brooks is a native of Nashville. He is married and has a son and a daughter
Your gift of $100 (or more!) provides Palliative Care services for patients and families at Children’s Hospital - all in honor of your pediatrician.
As Grand Honoree, Dr. Brooks invites you to honor your pediatrician or health care professional with your tax-deductible gift of $100 (or more!) by April 15. You will receive the following recognition for your special gift:
- Your name or family's name listed in the Iroquois Steeplechase Race Day Program (25,000 copies printed)
- Your pediatrician – who you are honoring – also listed in the Race Day Program
- A nice note of recognition from Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt sent to your pediatrician notifying him/her of your generous donation
- Donors and pediatricians listed on Steeplechase website
NOTE: When you fill out the form, please be sure to select "in honor of." Then include the pediatrician's name, address and practice in the "Special Comments" section.
To honor multiple doctors: follow the instructions on the form to add more donations, and include the additional pediatricians' name, address and practice in the "Special Comments" section.
