2013 Steeplechase Pediatrician's Circle
In the spirit of the Iroquois Steeplechase, the Pediatrician’s Circle gives you the opportunity to recognize your outstanding Middle Tennessee pediatrician or health care provider while supporting the Children’s Hospital Palliative Care Program.
2013 Pediatrician's Circle Grand Honoree
Dr. Scott Brooks represented the community of Middle Tennessee pediatricians as the 2013 Pediatrician’s Circle Grand Honoree.
Dr. Brooks received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in Memphis after completing his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Vanderbilt University. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in 1984 and joined Pediatric Associates of Franklin the same year.
Dr. Brooks is board certified in pediatrics, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is an Associate Clinical Professor at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He has received the Physicians Recognition Award from the American Medical Association and the James C. Overall Award for his contribution to the Children’s Hospital residency program as an outstanding instructor.
He is actively involved with Children’s Hospital, serving as a member of the Emergency Department Committee and the Performance, Management and Improvement Council.
Dr. Brooks is a native of Nashville. He is married and has a son and a daughter

As Grand Honoree, Dr. Brooks invites you to honor your pediatrician or health care professional with your tax-deductible gift of at least $100.
