Sickle Cell Community Partners

The Center of Excellence in Sickle Cell Disease has partnered with the Sickle Cell Foundation of Tennessee, a non-profit  501(c)3 organization that provides wraparound services to patients and families affected by sickle cell disease. The Foundation was founded in 2008 by Trevor K. Thompson and Cherry N. Whitehead-Thompson.

The Foundation has built a network of consumers affected by sickle cell to raise awareness, provide education, and social services throughout the State of Tennessee and the Mid-South (Crittenden County, Arkansas and north Mississippi). As a result of the partnership with the Center of Excellence in Sickle Cell Disease, the foundation has a satellite office in Nashville allowing individuals in Middle Tennessee to join in our concerted efforts.

For more information, please visit the The Sickle Cell Foundation of Tennessee website or call (888) 695-0006.
