Research and Education

Current interests include innovative stem cell research. The division is developing a robust program on cancer survivorship and outcomes research, with multiple collaborators both inside and outside the department and institution.

Clinical trials

A clinical trial, or clinical research, is a  study to evaluate a new drug or treatment. Carefully conducted clinical trials are the fastest and safest way to find treatments proven to work. In the past, they were often seen as a last resort. Today, many families choose to receive their first treatment in a trial.

Fellowship program

The Division of Hematology and Oncology offers a Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Fellowship that prepares individuals who have completed their general pediatric training for academic positions in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.

Visit the Department of Pediatrics website to learn more about research and education opportunities.
