Children's Hospital offers our fetal consultation clinic with a team approach.

The Fetal Center at Vanderbilt features a multidisciplinary team providing care uniquely focused on both you and your unborn child.

Our internationally recognized experts offer superior fetal diagnosis and therapeutic measures with high patient satisfaction. Patients from across the country turn to Children's Hospital when they have a concerning diagnosis during pregnancy.

Our center includes a clinical program in fetal diagnosis and therapy, along with clinical and basic research programs.

Our team meets weekly with other experienced colleagues to discuss diagnoses, delivery plans, and birth results. They also discuss recent research that might affect the way we diagnose and treat your child.

We offer you a complete, customized evaluation in a single setting during your initial visit. Our team includes specialists in

Patient support throughout

The Fetal Center at Vanderbilt coordinates care and offers you compassionate support throughout your journey. Depending the on diagnosis, it is possible your baby will receive care in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit after delivery.

We can help make you more comfortable with the NICU with a tour and information prior to delivery. Our NICU is considered the regional perinatal center for Middle Tennessee, providing many services unavailable elsewhere in our region. Children’s Hospital’s neonatology program is ranked among the best in the nation.

Continuity of care

Coordinated care extends through delivery and beyond, with postnatal care for mother and infant. Often, surgeries or additional procedures are performed after delivery, with seamless collaboration with other pediatric specialists.

Our team approach to care extends from your consultation until you and your baby go home. Your family will be a significant part of our decision-making team.
