Allergy and Immunology Clinic

The Pediatric Allergy and Immunology Clinic provides diagnostic services and care for children who are suspected to have allergy-related and immunodeficiency diseases. Consultation services are provided for children of all ages with physician referral, and patients who are self-referred are also welcome to contact us for appointments.

We are usually asked to determine if a patient's symptom or set of symptoms may be related to an allergy and to recommend age-appropriate treatment. Most initial consultations are completed in a single visit, lasting from one to three hours. Skin testing for allergy isn't always performed on the first visit. If this test is appropriate, it may be offered and discussed.

Other allergy tests may include a sinus CT scan, chest X-rays, or pulmonary (lung) function studies. For those currently using medications and avoidance measures but still having allergic symptoms, allergy immunotherapy may be discussed and offered.

Our specialists provide evaluation and diagnostic testing for infants and children with suspected humoral and cellular immunodeficiency diseases and specialty care for patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases. We prescribe and supervise replacement therapy with intravenous immunoglobin.
