Each uear the Office of Special Education Programs of the United States Department of Education requires the Tennessee Deaf-Blind Project (TNDB) to collect demographic and educational data on individuals up to 21 years of age identified as having combined hearing and vision losses.

The purpose of this data collection is to help plan for personnel, educational, and transitional services. All information is kept strictly confidential as stated in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). No personally identifying information is reported

TNDB is fortunate to be a part of Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, which have high standards for procedural safeguards.
