Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring

Improving outcomes in children with epilepsy begins with accurate evaluations. The Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Children's Hospital has electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring equipment and video monitoring so that patients suspected of having a seizure disorder get an accurate diagnosis and precise treatment plan.

Technologists observe the computer readouts for the EEGs and watch video cameras to match physical symptoms of seizure with a recording of your child's brain activity.
