Inhaled medicines
Learn about the two primary types of medicines used to treat and prevent asthma, anti-inflammatory or controller medications and bronchodilators.

Metered dose inhaler
Learn more about using an inhaler, which is a good way to take asthma medicines. Side effects are usually minimal because the medicine goes directly into the lungs.

Asthma handouts
We are pleased to provide handouts on common questions and situation related asthma, such as medicines and tests. Many of these handouts are available in Spanish.
