Spina Bifida Surgery in the News

 

Surgeons at Vanderbilt performed the first-ever in utero repair for myelomeningocele, the most severe form of spina bifida. The release of the New England Journal of Medicine study demonstrating the value of fetal surgery for spina bifida resulted in wide-spread media coverage.
