Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Some children admitted to Children's Hospital require critical care and intensive care after surgery. The PICU cares for children of all ages needing special medical attention. The PICU team is a group of doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists and other health care providers. A child staying in the PICU can be a stressful time for families. Our team gives you access to case managers, child life specialists, and other support staff to help during your hospital visit.
