Funds to Help Families

The Cooper Trooper Foundation

The Cooper Trooper Foundation’s mission is to support the fight against childhood cancer in two tangible ways. The first is by giving Caring and Courage Kits to well siblings of children with cancer. These kits are a proactive, caring, teaching resource to help siblings who often feel “left out” during this time. A kit may be requested by contacting The Cooper Trooper Foundation at www.coopertrooper.org.

The second tangible way is by giving to The Cooper Trooper Foundation Pediatric Cancer Research Endowment Fund, set up at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. The Cooper Trooper Foundation realizes the great need for more awareness and research in the area of pediatric cancer and thus financially supports research specific to childhood cancers.

Hoover Hope Angel Fund for Families

The Hoover Hope Angel Fund for Families is a permanently endowed fund established in 2009 in memory of Liam Hoover. Liam was delivered on May 11, 1993, and was born to heaven on Sept. 14, 2005, after a courageous battle against brain cancer. The Angel Fund resides with and is managed by the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. It was created to provide critical emergency resources for families undergoing treatment for any type of pediatric cancer, or treatment for an illness related to the child’s cancer diagnosis at Children’s Hospital. The support is given at the discretion of Children’s Hospital staff, nurses and doctors to ease the burden of families in crisis.

You can give to the Angel Fund through the giving page at VanderbiltHealth.com. Please note “Hoover Hope Angel Fund for Families” with your gift.
