Pediatric Critical Care Unit

The Pediatric Critical Care Unit (PCCU) is a 42-bed space that provides highly specialized care for critically ill children.

The PCCU comprises the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU).

Our critical care units serve as a regional and national referral centers. Children's Hospital has the specialized medical teams and advanced tools to care for your child.

The PICU and PCICU at Children's Hospital provide unique environments designed to meet the emotional and physical needs of your child and family. Private rooms, designed for both critical care and family contact, are just steps away from nursing stations.

Families new to the critical care units will receive a printed guide to make their stay easier.

We provide numerous other family resources should your child need to be admitted to the PCCU. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with them or ask our staff about them.
