Admitting/Transferring a Patient to Children's Hospital

Children's Hospital handles all pediatric admissions by physicians or hospitals through the Children's Access Center. The center is available 24 hours a day at (615) 936-4444 and toll free at (866) 936-7811

A physician who would like to have a child evaluated in our emergency department may call the emergency department at (615) 343-2996 and press 1. Our staff will take patient information and a brief clinical history as well as phone numbers for call back. We will send the information directly to the Pediatric ED, or connect the caller to the ED resident, fellow, or attending as requested.

The Access Center will collec the following information for each admission request.
